The Study
The SR-71 Blackbird pays tribute to the legendary reconnaissance aircraft, translating aerospace engineering into wrist-scale design.
We examined cockpit-inspired dial layering, instrument-style typography, and case geometry that echoes fuselage structure. Material tone, dark finishes, and engraved caseback elements were treated as narrative anchors tied to aviation history.

The Approach
We developed high-resolution studio stills with deep contrast and directional light, emphasizing dial depth and architectural case construction.
Surfaces were rendered to reveal micro-texture and subtle finishing transitions. Macro angles isolated cockpit-inspired details and structural cues, reinforcing the technical story embedded within the design.

The Result
The final imagery presents the SR-71 Blackbird as an instrument shaped by aviation heritage.
Proportions feel purposeful, detailing remains legible, and material contrasts add weight. The stills support REC’s storytelling ethos, positioning the watch as a mechanical homage to aerospace innovation.
