The Study
The Lotus 98T/4 carries direct Formula 1 heritage, rooted in the iconic black-and-gold John Player Special livery.
We examined how to translate that motorsport DNA into controlled studio compositions without losing authenticity. Dial layering, carbon textures, engraved caseback elements, and gold accents were treated as narrative anchors rather than decorative details.

The Approach
We developed highly stylised studio environments, using directional light and deep contrast to echo the drama of 1980s F1 aesthetics.
Surfaces were rendered at extreme resolution to capture micro-textures, edges, and material transitions. Each composition was built to feel cinematic yet precise, isolating branding cues and structural details through tight framing and deliberate shadow play.

The Result
The final stills present the Lotus 98T/4 as a mechanical artifact with racing provenance.
Gold accents cut sharply against dark tones, and material contrasts feel deliberate and bold. The imagery amplifies REC’s concept-driven identity, reinforcing the watch’s connection to motorsport history through atmosphere and detail.
